Stress Fractures

Stress fractures often can occur in the bones of the feet as a result of injuries. It is a painful condition and can lead to a bit of swelling around the affected bone. X-ray investigation initially can be misleading as the fractures often don’t show up immediately after the break, usually a bony healing scar can be seen after 6 weeks on X-ray. We can facilitate the healing of fractures using low level laser therapy and often this leads to a reduction in pain and swelling allowing return to normal function and activity much sooner.
